Why Accessibility Matters

Around 16.1 million people in the UK roughly 1 in 4 have a disability (UK Government Family Resources Survey, 2023). Globally, over 1.3 billion people (about 16% of the population) experience disability (World Health Organization, 2023).

Making our website accessible not only benefits people with disabilities but also might improve the experience for users without disabilities depending on the preference.

Purpose
